Cooler Master's Hyper TX series has evolved with requirements of mainstream CPUs. The introduction of Hyper TX3 marks another milestone with Cooler Master's first-ever full compatibility - Intel LGA 1156 socket. The Hyper TX3 also brings back the "original" direct contact heat-pipe design from Cooler Master.

using on a phenom x4 3g oc'd to 3.6g, reduced average temps about 15 degrees with second fan, just make sure you get the second fan... it accounted for 11 degrees of the difference. Max temp with prime 95 after 12hrs now 47c.

Definitely recommend this cooler if you have room(measure your case).Decent cooler at a great price and should allow for some excellent overclocking.Very easy to assemble and install.

Great cooler for the money. Tried it on both an intel e2200 and an AMD 955 BE. It fit in an older case I have and didn’t require much in the way of complicated mounting (though mounting heatsinks can be slightly frustrating). It is very quiet at all but full-speed and even then it is pretty good. It was an extreme upgrade from the puny heatsink that intel included (not even an inch thick). It allowed me to overclock the e2200 from 2.2 ghz to 2.8ghz with no issues (could go higher but didn’t want to play with voltages).
The stock heatsink included with the AMD 955 BE was very good, but had a small and extremely noisy fan. Temperatures remained about the same, but the coolermaster is much more quiet. The stock AMD heatsink could be clearly heard from outside my computer room and as such was unacceptably loud. This heatsink is a great value because it is quiet, cools most CPUs, fits most cases, works with AMD and intel, and most importantly is inexpensive.
Just a note for AMD users, when I removed the heatsink on my 955BE, the CPU was stuck to it as if it were super glued in place. It ripped the CPU straight out of the socket and was a massive pain to dislodge from the stock heatsink. Do yourself a favour and don’t even attach the stock AMD heatsink. The pins on my CPU were damaged while separating the heatsink from the CPU; luckily I was able to carefully bend them back to their original place and it still worked.
