I bought this kit with a ASUS P5Q3 deluxe. At first, super fast and perfect then during the first week problems appeared. One of them doesn't work at all, but after the RMA change process, the new kit works perfectly.
I noticed that automatic bios setting recognition was different: the first kit was 777-24 and the second kit 777-16. so if memory tests are good, try those settings manually. Maybe that could help.

Using this memory with 790i FTW and works okay at stock settings. The computer boots and I can use Windows without issue. However, when playing games I get random freezing and they do not pass OCCT testing of RAM. I have not owned them long enough to see if they are getting worse but will be buying new memory to replace these. Of course, these are not on the approved memory list from eVGA for this motherboard. So, if you are looking for memory for a 790i, buy approved memory only (or a better name brand). Other people have had no problems with these when using an X48 or X38 board, so the memory is not that bad, it is just no good for a 790i board. Hope this helps.

I ordered this in tandem with an EVGA 790i FTW board. It wasn't on their "approved" list but it met the specs. I don't OC but even at stock speeds and voltage this combo was horrible. It eventually degraded to the point where I had to RMA. Important lesson learned from this, I won't purchase memory for a board without thoroughly researching it.

Merchandise sold by DirectCanada.com carries a limited 15-day customer satisfaction policy and a limited 30-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
