Buyers beware!!!

There's a firmware glitch on these drives and they are all becoming bricks!

Google Seagate 7200.11 hard drive problems....

If you were going to reflash your firmware... don't do it!!!!

The SD1A firmware "fix" will brick your drive....

Terrible customer service - unalbe to get a hold of this company. I was missing an item that I ordered and after a week I tried to contact them and I was put on hold for 15 minutes before they hung up on me, three times. Instant message customer service did not reply after two days. Finally emailed customer services. Found out that I had to reorder different item and spend more money because the item was out of stock. No one contacted me to tell me that the item was out of stock and discontinued. The email said "sorry for the inconvienance" and offered no help to get me a product. I then asked them to give me another product of equal value and again I got an email that said "sorry for the inconvienence". I eventually got a refund, but now I have to spend more money and wait another week for the product to come in. I wasted 2 weeks trying to get some service and I got nothing. Good products at good prices but the customer service is very bad. I would not recommend this company on its customer service. Good luck if you have any problems.

I purchased this drive and another segate drive from DC and it will be the first time in 3 years that I have had to RMA anything. While my situation might be an isolated incident it doesn't reflect that the problem I have experienced isn't a well documented with other users on the web. Just search Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1Tb clicking noise and you'll see. Therefore I must rate this product a 2.5 out of 5 for the and incourage people to look at an alternative product and always be weary the cheapest price usually reflects the qaulity of product you recieve.

Merchandise sold by DirectCanada.com carries a limited 15-day customer satisfaction policy and a limited 30-day DOA (dead-on-arrival) policy, from the original invoice date, and is subject to the following terms and conditions:

ALL merchandise requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by DirectCanada.com for return. RMA numbers are valid for 7-days with a small leeway for shipping times. Merchandise returned to us without a valid RMA number will be refused and shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for testing and refunds to be processed.
Returned merchandise must NOT be physically damaged, including damage due to improper installation or overclocking.
