I already have 2 sticks of this (G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL), they work as they should, the computer was working great. I bought 2 more sticks, just the same product, and I installed them on the remaining 2 sockets. As I turn the computer on I got 3 beeps, nothing on screen, burned smell in the case. I removed the new sticks but the computer still don't work. According to the G.Skill forum a bad stick can damage the motherboard. Why don't they check this before a nasty stick leaves the factory?
I have an ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, CPU AMD 1090T, WD Caviar black, a great system until that faulty memory arrived at home (very fast free delivery, by the way...)
