My older dlink dwa-130 n300 wifi adapter that I used after my D-Link dwa-182 ac1200 broke was very slow - it buffered 1080p videos on YouTube sometimes - so I needed something newer, but beefier than my dwa-182.
The dual antennas with the magnetic base allowed me to place it on the side of my case, allowing me to hog all the wifi signals in my house. I used to get 1 bar on my 5GHz, now I get 2 (hopefully going to get 3 with some adjustments to my antennas. My 2.4GHz is 5/5 bars from 3-4 bars. (The router is on the second floor, while the adapter is in the basement).
Installation was very quick, took only 10-15 seconds. The drivers installed automatically when Widows 10 booted-up without the need for CD drivers supplied.
I can almost stream 4k videos, with a lot less buffering than with my ac1200 USB DWA-182, even though I don't need to, as I have a 1080p monitor. I have a 20mbps connection max; usually 10-16.
All in all, I recommend this adapter, as it is very fast, easy to install, and can pull-in a lot of wifi to your system.
